Hope Can Change Everything Appeal
On 16th, 17th, 18th November, 91.9 Fresh FM held their Hope Can Change Everything Appeal. Fresh FM is a not for profit listener supported radio station. Because of many generous people around the Gladstone Region (and beyond), 91.9 Fresh FM can continue spreading messages of hope in 2017 and next year will be exciting in terms of projects that will help support community initiatives.
Many of our staff were up at 4am each morning and through many activities including on-air, production, visiting supporters and donors in the Street Machine, social media posts (including Facebook Live) and our guest announcers, (including Mayor Matt Burnett doing push-ups in our studio plus lots of coffee), our listeners and supporters managed to help us exceed the station’s target of $30,000. Overall, we reached just over $32,000.
Our plan for 2017 is to see Fresh FM out in the community. Because of the donations, we are able to attend markets and expos, head towards a Fresh Media Academy, go out and visit local schools and churches, hold conferences that will benefit various community groups and the list goes on!
We want Fresh FM to be a choice for every family in the Gladstone Region, so parents can turn the radio on in the car and know that their kids who are sitting in the back seat behind them, are hearing safe music and content.
