Hi, my name is Angus and this is my blog post.

I’m originally from Caboolture, which is about an hour’s drive north of Brissy. I moved to Gladstone four years ago when I was in grade six. Gladstone is very different to Caboolture. For example, in Caboolture there is a major city literally one hour away and you’re relatively close to the theme parks (e.g. Wet ‘n’ Wild, Movie World), unlike Gladstone where the closest major city is six hours away, which is Brisbane.

One of my favourite things to do is road tripping. It’s a great thing to do on holidays and just for fun because you will see things in a way you have never seen before or see something new every day. Recently, I went on a two week road trip to the Simpson Desert in South Australia. It was definitely interesting because nearly every day the landscape would change. We decided to go in winter because it was the dry season. Turns out for most of the time we were down there it was either overcast or raining. So, I guess now I can say I have seen it rain in the desert. It did clear up towards the end of the week.

Another thing I love doing, which only comes around once a year is the Gladstone Harbour Festival.  It is a great place for meeting friends and having a good time.

So yeah, my life is kinda interesting, especially when I get to go out on the road. 🙂
